Bleeping Bigger
We live in a difficult time… Everything seems to get bigger and bigger. Bigger houses, bigger cars, bigger televisions!! It’s no wonder that my cat is getting bigger too. I don’t see any signs of stopping and we’re ill equipped for his daily activity. The one where he gets to dig around! Well he’s run out of space to do that so hear lies our search for the ultimate relief machine. A new litter box!
Is My Litter Pan Too Small?
Your litter pan should be 1.5 x the length of your cat. Your cat needs room to dig around and cover up there mess. A good way to tell if your cats litter box is too small is to observe his or her routine. If you often visit the litter pan or box to find uncovered pee or poop then that is a good sign that your cat is just too fed up with their small box.
I wouldn’t say that the cat we are shopping for is larger than the average cat. Still he was missing the litter pan from time to time. Which means that most litter boxes on the market today are just too small.

So we had a difficult time finding anything over 30 inches. Even the 34 inch one is taking in to account the pockets for a litter scoop and scent slashers.
Litter Box Alternative:
If all else fails, why not try and make your own! How hard can it be to cut a hole in a box anyway.
